Detection Confidence & Agency Alert Levels
Embersat reports its own confidence in each detection. Public fire-agency alert levels (Advice, Watch and Act, Emergency Warning) are only shown when sourced from a live agency feed or a dispatcher who has confirmed with the agency — we never assign them from satellite evidence alone.

Glossary
Fire pixel
A specific ~2 km AHI grid cell being tracked as part of a fire event. Each pixel has its own observation series and can be independently closed when it goes cold.
Fire event
A group of fire pixels clustered by proximity. What appears on the map. An event closes when all its fire pixels close.
Detection
A fire pixel flagged by the pipeline in one AHI frame. One pixel can have many detections over time as fire persists.
Observation
A per-frame measurement at a fire pixel (~10 min cadence). Recorded every frame whether or not fire is detected, providing continuous monitoring.
